Inaugural 2011 Harper Roadshow Welcomes Big Turnout To Mark Andy

Published: 03.16.2011

Charlotte, NC, March 16, 2011– Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation launched its 2011 Roadshow series before an audience of 79 on March 3 at the Mark Andy Inc. complex in Chesterfield, MO, outside St. Louis.

The roadshow generated many positive reviews from attendees. One described it as very informative and educational. Said another: “Very helpful … wish I could have brought the entire press floor with me.” In fact, companies may send many people to the free seminars but seating is limited. Advanced reservations are encouraged.

“Partnering with Harper to host this type of event and tackle the needs of short run printing was a great success,” said Steve Schulte, National Sales Director for Mark Andy. “It was the right place to educate and physically demonstrate how to achieve extremely fast set-ups and changeovers using the latest in-line flexo technology.”

The Performance Series platform’s redefined work flow and low waste, Schulte pointed out, gives converters the right tools to maintain profitability without investing in completely new work flows such as digital. “The event was a real win-win for Harper, Mark Andy and especially the converters,” he said.

The roadshow featured technical presentations by experts from Harper, Mark Andy and other printing industry leaders. Mark Andy, a respected narrow web printing equipment maker, treated attendees to an hour and a half live press demonstration during the seminar.

First of eight seminars this year, the Chesterfield event focused on techniques printers can use to improve their production efficiency and realize the short run benefits flexo printing offers that other printing approaches cannot.

Presentations addressed use of anilox rolls, inks, blades, dies/cylinders, mounting tape and plates. The seminars are organized to appeal to a broad audience, including print managers and supervisors, graphic designers, pre-press managers, ink, plate and pre-press suppliers, press operators, purchasing staff and general managers.

Because seating at the Harper Roadshow is limited, early registration is suggested. For more about upcoming roadshows, contact Jazmin Kluttz at 704-588-3371, ext. 4292; fax 704-688-0797; email jkluttz@harperimage.com.
