Banded Roll Calculator

Utilize this calculator to assist when designing a banded roll for trial. If you are not sure how many bands to place on the anilox roll, how big to make the bands, what volumes the band should be or how to convert from Metric to Imperial, this calculator will assist you in this process.

How to Use: Simply enter the data you would like to convert into the highlighted cells and the calculator will assist you with your measurements, spacing and volumes to be placed on the test anilox roll.

Use Calculator

Circumference to Diameter Conversions

Utilize this calculator to assist when you would like to convert circumference to diameter. If you do not have a pi (π) measurement tape, you can use a standard measurement tape, wrap it around the anilox roll and read the measurement.

How to Use: Enter the circumference measurement you would like to convert into the highlighted cells and the calculator will convert the circumference measurement to diameter.

Use Calculator

Converting Different Volume Methods

Utilize this conversion chart to cross reference calculated/scope volume to Echotopography volume.

Use Calculator

Depth to Opening Conversions

Utilize this calculator to assist when you would like to know what the depth to opening ratio is on your anilox roll inventory.

How to Use:  Enter the data you would like to convert into the highlighted cells and the calculator will calculate the depth to opening ratio of your anilox roll cells.

Use Calculator

Dot Area Reference Sheet

Use this spreadsheet as a reference for dot area size. The spreadsheet is broken down by linescreens in both imperial and metric measurements from 45 l/s up to 200 l/s and from 1% to 50% dots.

How to Use: This spreadsheet provides information that can be utilized to see if dot size is increasing from pre-press to press or if the anilox roll has the correct ratio of cells to dots.

Use Calculator

Grams/m2 to Pounds/ft1 Calculator

Utilize this calculator to assist in the conversion from Grams per meter squared to feet or vice versa.  This can be used when working on coating weights or the application of adhesive, coatings, inks etc.

How to Use:  Enter the data you would like to convert into the highlighted cells and the calculator will convert the data for you.

Use Calculator

Harper GraphicSolutions' Theoretical Volume Calculators

Utilize these calculators to calculate anilox roll volume for 60°, 30°, 45° or Trihelical engravings.

How to Use:  Enter the linescreen, depth and opening measurements and calculate the current volume of your anilox roll.

Use Calculator

Metric to BCM Conversions

Utilize this calculator to assist when you would like to convert metric volume measurement to BCM measurement.

How to Use:  Enter the data you would like to convert into the highlighted cells and the calculator will convert the data from metric to BCM.

Use Calculator

Metric to LPI Conversions

Utilize this calculator to assist in the conversion from Centimeters to Lines per inch.  This can be used when converting art work or anilox roll specifications from Metric to Imperial.

How to Use:  Simply enter your data into the highlighted cells and the calculator will convert your data for you.
