Harper Corporation of America Hosts March SME Membership Meeting

Charlotte, North Carolina, April 18, 2016—Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America was honored to host the March Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) membership meeting on March 24 and share an up-close look at some of the advanced technology used in the flexographic printing industry.
Tony Donato, SME member and Product Development Engineer at Harper, and Mark Jacques, Harper Vice President of Manufacturing Operations, led the presentation on anilox roll technology. They provided a step-by-step demonstration on how anilox rolls are manufactured and how this technology benefits flexographic printing capabilities for packaging printing. They discussed the complexities of the process and how the type of pattern cut into each anilox roll is determined by the application.
