Charlotte, North Carolina, September 11, 2018—Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America is excited to be an exhibitor at the upcoming Labelexpo Americas 2018 in Rosemont, Illinois. The theme of this year’s show is “Explore Your Future,” and Harper is thrilled to present and discuss some of its latest technology and products that are changing how companies approach all aspects of flexographic printing.

This three-day event brings together professionals from throughout the industry and features more than 400 exhibitors. There will be Label Academy Master Classes, demonstrations, seminars, and opportunities to talk with leaders in the industry such as Harper Corporation of America representatives.

Harper will be exhibiting several of its products this year and discussing how available programs, services, and anilox technology can enhance print repeatability and improve profitability. One of the systems on display will be Harper’s award-winning patented QD™ ink proofing and flatbed printing system which uses flexographic and gravure processes. This system has become the color-matching proofer of choice by many leading ink manufacturers and is able to be configured at four different speed units. The maximum travel speed is 150FPM (45MPM), and travel distance can be adjusted anywhere from 12 to 33 inches in one-inch increments. It is also available in either a 2.75-inch or 5-inch proofer width.

Understanding how to properly maintain pressroom equipment is essential, and Harper has attendees covered. Representatives will be on hand to address questions regarding not only the pressroom, but also cleaning supplies for effective care and maintenance of their anilox inventory. The company will be ready to answer any questions on its newest addition, the Harper Performance Wash™, which is a fast-acting, low foam, highly alkaline-based anilox roll cleaner.

The Performance Wash is effective at removing water-based, UV, and solvent inks and can penetrate through multiple layers of ink. In addition, it is ready to use at room temperature or can be heated up to 100°F. This versatile cleaning solution can be used in automatic roll cleaning machines with rinse cycles or ultrasonic tanks. It is a concentrated solution, but it can be easily diluted with tap water to meet the needs of different cleaning methods, types of ink, and roll conditions.

Harper Corporation of America invites attendees to visit the company’s booth, number 401, at the event. Labelexpo Americas 2018 will be held September 25-27 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 North River Road, Rosemont, Illinois.

Charlotte, North Carolina, August 9, 2012—HarperScientific, a division of global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America, is now offering custom imaged proofer rubber transfer rolls. These proofer transfer rolls can be personalized from text or graphic files.

The imaged proofer transfer rolls work in all HarperScientific's Echocel™ Junior, Phantom™, and Phantom QD™ proofers. Laser engraved in the round, these rolls can bear the client's image of choice, like a company logo or tone scale. A reversed out text file on the end of the roll face provides a way to specifically identify ink room proofs. A tonal scale image allows users an efficient way for checking ink characteristics at a 50 percent or other desired screen.

Besides providing custom engravings, two tonal scale designs are available.  In the “standard” panel scale, 10 percent, 35 percent, 50 percent, and 75 percent screens are centered and wrapped around the repeat with a 100 percent solid on either side. The second predesigned “continuous” tone scale has 25 percent, 50 percent, and 75 percent screens again flanked on either side by a 100 percent solid. Customers interested in “continuous” tone scale rubber rolls can choose from 45, 55, and 70 durometer EPDM while “standard” tone scale rubber rolls are offered in 55 and 70 durometer EPDM.
